Dear Parish Family,
Lent invites us every year to slow down, step back, and allow the Lord to renew our hearts. In the middle of busy schedules, family responsibilities, and the turbulence of our times, many of us long for a deeper, quieter space to pray and reflect.
For that reason, you are warmly invited to our 2026 Lenten Day of Recollection, titled: "Keeping Our Vision of Peace During Turbulent Times”
Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026
Location: The Parish of Saint Joseph and Saint Boniface
245 North Main St., Spring Valley, NY 10977
Bus Departure: 7:30 AM from St. Charles (Harlem)
Return: Approximately 7:30 PM
This day is designed to help you enter more deeply into Lent through:
Sung Morning Prayer
Inspiring presentations and reflections
Quiet time for personal prayer
Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation
Vigil Mass
We will begin the morning with a warm, welcoming hot breakfast and later share a light Lenten lunch, giving us time for fellowship while keeping the focus on prayer and reflection.
Whether you are seeking clarity, renewal, healing, or simply a day set apart with God, this retreat offers a meaningful opportunity to refocus your heart and strengthen your faith.
Registration & Cost:
You may reserve your spot with a $25 deposit, with the remaining balance due on or before the day of the Recollection.
Our OCIA candidates and their sponsors will be attending as part of their preparation for the sacraments, and the wider parish community is invited to journey alongside them in prayer and encouragement.
For more information, to register, and to make your deposit or payment arrangements, please contact Deacon Hodge at

The attached flyer includes additional details about the day.
Let us take this opportunity to step away from the noise and allow the Lord to restore our vision of peace this Lent.
Lenten Blessings
